Bug in Webmin Dovecot Mail files config

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Linux Debian 12
Webmin version 2.105
Dovecot IMAP/POP3 Server Version 2.3.19.1

On fresh install , I just toggle in Webmail>Dovecot>Mail files config :
Mail file location
to ‘Detect automatically’ , then back to Inbox and folders in ~/Maildir

And Dovecot was not re starting at system reboot due to old param in dovecot.conf last line :
it was set to : “default_mail_env = maildir:~/Maildir” instead of “mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir”
See doc on : https://dovecot.org/doc/dovecot-example.conf (default_mail_env is deprecated)
thanks for upgrading the code.
regards

Strange - my installations are on Ubuntu and up-to-date (a fairly recent install of the software) yet I have a slightly older version of Dovecot (2.3.16) and the config file does not include that line.

I wonder if this is another of those Debian 12 anomalies?

I’ve just fixed the bug that was causing it. We will fix it in the next Webmin release.

Thanks for the heads up!

good and rapid ! thanks for the newbies

may be you forgot the toggle ?

No did that! I’m still assuming it is a combination of my OS is not Debian 12 and my Dovecot version has not been updated by Ubuntu.
