Bind dns server disappeared

This morning i have realised that BIND DNS isnt installed on my server. It was working fine until the most recent upgrade.

Now i see the following message
“The primary configuration file for BIND /var/named/chroot/etc/named.conf does not exist, or is not valid. Create it?”

I try to create one but it fails with not been able to reach to some ip address.

All the existing virtualmin server on the machine are still working. Can you please investigate or let me know how can i fix it as this is my production server and if it were to restart that would affect all my clients.

This is a known issue on CentOS 7 and does have an easy fix:

CentOS 7: Unable to start BIND after Webmin update

Nevermind. I think I still see an issue here for users who has never saved Webmin Bind module config. Anyone with CentOS 7 needs to make sure that /etc/webmin/bind8/config file has the following directives added at the end of the file before installing Webmin 2.001 upgrade: auto_chroot= chroot= We will try to fix that issue for 2.002 release.
