This is a new technology that I came across that allows you to get your logo next to all of your emails in peoples inboxes in supported apps.
BIMI, short for Brand Indicator for Message Identification, allows domain owners to coordinate with email clients to display brand logos next to authenticated email messages.
This could be a cool feature to add and other platforms probably will not have this.
This is like SSL or digital signature; it requires a certifying authority and for BIMI they must have a manual verification process which makes this unaffordable in my geography.
If anyone has found an affordable way to do this then let us know. From what I understand, it is not possible for lay people to tweak their DNS records and have BIMI. A certifying authority is required and money is required to be spent.
I just cannot see what this actually offers (and if it requires the purchase of a certificate from some CA authority - then not going to be something to add to Virtualmin - as most sites probably implement Lets Encrypt) It is bad enough having certificates forced on all websites without the branding being added as some unwanted extra (ok big commercial brands like Google/Apple/Twitter can probably afford it but I doubt if our clients can)
