I used somehting called OpenPanel, long dead.
Very simple and just worked for basic personal domain hosting.

The internet deliberately forgets things. It is so corrupt these days.

Openpanel now seems to be rebranded, cannot find the old software, will try wayback machine. Good support as well back then.

.org was the domain it seems. No images. Used a Crow as a image if I remember right. I liked it. Careful searching that as it seems to be hijacked.
