Hello! I have 2 servers and instead of using my server snapshot tools from the host Id like to switch to automated backups within virtualmin (never really used them much but I know how) and then have some process that would scp those backup zips to another server and vice versa for safe storage. I am sure this is a more general server management issue, but I welcome yalls advice and specifically relating to any issues I should look out for or recommendations specific to virtualmin. For the record, I want daily backups and one of the sites is many GB including the database. TIA!
You can do all of it with Virtualmin. Make the backup and send it to another server. The only difference from the snapshot is that the OS will not be backed up. I do this. Make one backup per night. Set the scheduale to save 3 backups and when the 4 is made it delete the oldest
