Backup "only servers" / "except servers" broken

When clicking (individual) “backup” of a scheduled backup, then marking server to backup/not to backup, this is now newly in 7.8.2 two columns, but these are ignored. Additionally the 2 columns are not clear which are included and which not. So tried both ways. All servers are always backed up.

All servers are always backed up.

You should toggle the radio selector to Only selected … position, e.g.:

As shown in the screenshot above only sub1.ubuntu22-pro.virtualmin.dev will be backed up, i.e. those placed in the right side of the multiple select.

Hi Illia,
I know that, and I tried both radios “only selected…” and “all except…”.

If you don’t toggle the radios, you can’t anyway select anything.

I used this function foy years, until recently it was a multi-select that worked fine.

Now with the two columns, it’s not working anymore (and I can’t backup the servers coming after a too heavy and not-critical one (see my other thread).

To reproduce:

1. Go to “scheduled backups” page, and click on the green “Backup” button of a scheduled backup that backs up all servers.
2. On the new page, toggle to radio “only selected…”, and click on a site on the left to bring it to the right (hint: put titles on those two lists, it’s confusing), leave the other sites in the left column.
3. Click “Backup in Background”
4. Wait for the mail, and see which sites got backuped.

• Expected behavior: Only the selected site gets backed up (as was always the case with the old and clearer browser multi-select !)
• Actual behavior: All sites get backed up in fact…
