I think the answer is yes, from reading other posts, but can I backup a Server A domain running Ubuntu 12.04 and restore to Server B running Ubuntu 14.04 ?
If so, then this will be my migration plan to 14.04 from 12.04.

Yes, I believe this shouldn’t cause any problems as the backups typically store only Virtualmin specific data along with the contents of your home directory.
If you setup the new box, you can use the “migrate” feature which will backup the contents of the older Virtual Server, SFTP it over to the new box, then import it.
*** this is referring to simply backing up / migrating Virtual Servers themselves ***

Thanks Peter, I ended up doing a couple domains at a time to test things, out. Everything went well, so I ended up doing all the domains one by one by using the restore function. The migrate function probably would have been a lot easier, but next time I’ll know better. Thanks!
