Backup issue since the last update of Virtualmin/Webmin and all packages.

I tested 2 backups.
That looks like maybe the backup was interrupted. Maybe it was happening while the Webmin package was updated, forcing a restart, which interrupted the previous backup, leaving locks in place?
Just a guess. Are you sure the previous backup isn’t actually still running?

Ah yes, I remember, yes. I had to kill/stop the backup because it was taking 6 hours (as usual), and the Webmin/Virtualmin update was done while the backup was still running.
The backup was stopped to make the update faster.
So, you can delete those locks and the failed backup temp files, if any.
In /home/tmp/.webmin ?
(I moved the folder 8 months ago because the /tmp partition is too small.)

Oh no, the backup is still failing. The dedicated server reboot was for nothing. I don’t know how to fix this.
It’s not clear to me whether you were able to locate and delete the lock files?
I don’t know where the lock files are. I deleted the contents of .webmin two or three times, but the lock files aren’t there.
They are probably somewhere else.
Check /var/webmin/locks
Generally, you should stop the webmin service while doing anything behind its back, like removing its lock files.
/var/webmin/locks
The folder is empty when there is no backup in progress.
Backup-related locks are in /var/webmin/modules/virtual-server/backuplocks.
Try running ps aux | grep 2642830 to get more details on the PID and see if it even exists.

it doesn’t return any results, other than this:

There is a backup in progress at the moment for several hours, I don’t know if it will work

There is really nothing to do: the "/var/webmin/locks" folder is currently empty (I haven’t deleted anything)
in the folder "/var/webmin/modules/virtual-server/backuplocks" there is this:
Won’t I break anything if I delete all the .lock files?
If a backup is not running it will not break anything.
I removed the .lock files and relaunched the backup.

It’s since the update of the Webmin and Virtualmin/Webmin packages. I also noticed that the ‘Backup Execution’ section in Virtualmin has a new interface.
The folder is currently empty (/var/webmin/modules/virtual-server/backuplocks), I haven’t touched anything.
I’m running Debian 12.
Without me manually changing anything since the last backup run:
Do you know if I should delete anything in /etc/webmin/virtual-server/domains?
Do you need the backup configuration from /etc/webmin/virtual-server/backups?
Is there a command to run a backup with full debug output, for example to test it, with details ?
