Backup and Restore fails on subserver restoration because the master wasn't restored first

Hey there,

I recently migrated a Virtualmin setup using the instructions in the Virtualmin docs (Migrating To a New Server - Virtualmin); however, the restore failed because it kept trying to restore subservers/subdomains first and it couldn’t since the master/primary server didn’t exist since it wasn’t restored yet.

The solution was simple: move the main domains into their own folder and run the restore command on that folder first, then proceed to restore the subservers once that was successful. I was just wondering if I had missed an option/step somewhere in the process (or a parameter on the restore command)? Or if there’s a setting in my scheduled backups that I should be tweaking to avoid the issue?

Definitely not a complaint, since the restore process went pretty much flawlessly after separating the master servers from the subservers and restoring the master servers first, but I felt it’s a good opportunity to reach out to the experts here to see if I should have something configured differently in my backup process, or if I failed to follow the steps properly on restoration?

Thanks!
