Awstats wrong permission

hi, i have a default installation on debisn 12, all my domains from my clients have a issue with the awstat generation, it fails with a permission denied, the perm was 0660 in the directory /var/log/virtualmin/
i have a installation with nginx, the user and group is www-data

solution for now is: change the perms to 0664 and user/group is the same
maybe its a litte bug

I’m on Ubuntu so different OS, but may have the same/similar problem.
Have just gone to Services -> AWStats Configuration and “Save” producing a bunch of errors.

which suggest to me that there is an access problem
