should be easy to close old topics down automatically after for example 180 days without any reply or new post - to prevent zombie posts… this will also lock the topic and can be used for archive purposes. any thoughts about it?
It seems like it should be easy, but so far I haven’t found a way to do it.
Solved topics are setup to auto-close after two days of no replies, but as far as I can tell there is no way to close other topics. If you’re aware of a plugin for Discourse that does what you’re asking for, I’d be happy to install it. I’d like to stop people from making zombies, too.
Actually, I think I found how to do it. It can be done at the category level. It doesn’t actually seem to be working, but I’ll set it to close topics after 30 days of no activity.
And, I found a script that applies the auto-close settings across all topics, so this will be resolved shortly.
