I would like to setup a management interface utilizing the XML RPC API but was not able to find the proper documentation for all the calls and results.
Any hint and / or link would be highly appreciated …

There are no XML/RPC API… but a remote command line API… you can found all the details you need at this url : http://www.virtualmin.com/documentation/developer/cli
