After upgrade to CentOS 5.6 System Information still shows CentOS Linux 5.5 as Operating system

Subj. Hitting “Refresh system information” does not help.

Can you paste in the contents of your /etc/issue file?

-Eric

/etc/issue shows correct number:

CentOS release 5.6 (Final) Kernel \r on an \m

However, as seen in the attachement, Virtualmin shows 5.5

Okay, let’s try one other quick thing before we start really digging – can you try restarting Webmin?

You can do that by running “/etc/init.d/webmin restart” on the command line as root.

-Eric

I did /etc/init.d/webmin restart, logged out from Virtualmin and logged in again, unfortunately it is still shows CentOS Linux 5.5.

It actually does not bother me that much as far as Virtualmin is functional. However, I thought to report this issue, because it is an issue for Virtualmin itself in the end of the day. Something is not clicking somewhere.

Today I’ve logged into Virtualmin and notice poped up: Warning - Your system is actually running CentOS Linux version 5.6. I pressed the button below it and finally System Information showed correct data.
