Add PHP Error Log (php_log) for server admin

A Virtualserver Admin has access to Apache logs in “Logs and Reports”
How can I add access tot PHP Error Log?

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Debian GNU/Linux 12
Webmin version 2.303
Virtualmin version 7.30.8.pro-1
Webserver version Apache 2.4.62

I’m pretty sure that that’s enabled by default. I don’t even think you can make it not available, actually.

Is it really not there for the domain owner user in the Logs and Reports section? Are you using PHP-FPM execution mode (you should be)?

It is not there in the sub-server. In the sub-server Logs and Reports the PHP error log entry is present but states the admin is not allowed

(Sorry to have missed that in my initial post)

And yes it is php-fpm

Go to Services → PHP Configuration → Edit Configuration Manually and set the error_log path. Then, you can create a custom log viewer module or add it under “Logs and Reports” via Virtualmin’s log file settings.

Not everyone is capable of that can you supply an example ?

This sounds like it was generated by ChatGPT (it seems to be hallucinated, because that isn’t a description of anything that exists in Virtualmin).

That seems bug-like.

Do the logs for the sub-server happen to show up in the parent domain PHP logs? (I don’t think they should, but I’m surprised they aren’t visible somehow.)

No they do not show up in the parent domain.
