Hello,

I just install the virtualmin plugin on my webmin, as per instructed at http://www.webmin.com/vdownload.html

Installation looks okay, but the only thing is I kept receiving this message to re-check the configuration. The message is:

The status of your system is being checked to ensure that all enabled features are available, that the mail server is properly configured, and that quotas are active …

BIND DNS server is installed, and the system is configured to use it.

Sendmail is only accepting SMTP connections on the following ports : 127.0.0.1 port smtp. Email from other systems on the Internet will not be accepted. This can be changed in the Sendmail Mail Server module.

Well, ideally, what you’d do to install Virtualmin is use the install.sh script on a freshly installed Linux distribution.

Otherwise, you’ll have to go through quite a bit of manual configuration to get everything working correctly :slight_smile:

However, you can see the manual installation instructions here:

If you opt to continue with the manual installation, I’d suggest using Postfix rather than Sendmail as your mail server.
