Your Postfix configuration is missing the system's mail hostname

Hi,

I’ve recently updated virtualmin on our live server and am getting a warning when logging in about not being configured correctly. When I run the configuration checker it comes up with

Your Postfix configuration is missing the system’s mail hostname ‘hostname’ from the mydestination line, which will cause mail to bounce.

however we have our mail externally on google mail. We need to postfix to send out mail from the server but not store mail sent from the server to ‘hostname’ on the server, which is what I believe would happen if I set mydestination if I’m not wrong. Is there a way to make this ‘error’ go away?

Howdy,

Hmm, is the Mail for Domain feature enabled on your server?

If all of your email is sent externally for delivery, what you’d want to do is go into System Settings -> Features and Plugins, and disable the Mail for Domain feature.

That should get rid of the error that you’re seeing.
