wrong download format?

I already have webmin installed and want to add virtualmin. I am running Debian 6x

I went to this page and downloaded the debian .deb download from http://webmin.com/vdownload.html

When I go into my webmin configuration -> add module and select the file that I downloaded and click install, I get the following error:
": Not a valid module file : tar: This does not look like a tar archive tar: Skipping to next header tar: Exiting with failure status due to previous errors "

The same thing happens when I try to install the virtualmin theme.

It seems that the add module wants a tar file instead of a .deb file.

How should I proceed?

thank you

Howdy,

If you haven’t yet setup websites and email on your server, you could save yourself a lot of time and setup work by using the Virtualmin automated installer, available in the Downloads link above.

However, if you’d like to perform a manual installation – you could either install the .deb using dpkg, or if you want to perform the installation from within Webmin, you’d need to download the .wbm and .wbt files instead of the .deb files.
