Which port should I open in order to use Virtualmin control panel?

Hi, I installed Virtualmin for one server but the url returned upon completion cannot open.
My hosting company said I need to open the port for Virtualmin. I don’t know which port the panel uses.
I searched on Google, someone said ports 465 and 587, someone said 10000.

SYSTEM INFORMATION
OS type and version Ubuntu 22
Virtualmin version 7.9

Virtualmin uses port 10000
Usermin uses port 20000

if you are using your box for email then you will need 25 and some others (depends).

I’d personally choose another hosting company (there are plenty out there) as it is not down to them to interfere it is your responsibility to manage ports on your IP.
If they are blocking ports then you are in for other problems down the road. When you are in control you have the ability to open/close ports.

I do wish folk would take Google (other search engines and AI) with a pinch of salt.

When you installed Virtuamin it would have given you the address to login to at completion.

The download page tells you what port to log in to Virtualmin on, as does the install script at the end of it, when it has completed installation.

You also need a variety of ports for whatever services you’ll be using.

Those are mail ports, wholly unrelated to Virtualmin (though Virtualmin does manage mail services, including mail services that run on those ports).
