Webmin doesn't get updated

Hi,
Debian 8.6 , Webmin 1.801, Virtualmin 4.18

Now Webmin 1.810 has been out for more than 10 days but it’s not available thru Package Updates.

I know that Virtualmin just gets rid of Webmin Upgrade module within Webmin Configuration page so there is no way of doing manual upgrade.

So, what’s the solution?

Cheers.
Da Man.

Hi, im on debian here too… all automatically updated on my end… check your repos list - thats where I would look for the issue… or update it manually.

Best Regards.

This is list of repos:

deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 8.1.0 Jessie - Official amd64 NETINST Binary-1 20150606-14:16]/ jessie main

#deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 8.1.0 Jessie - Official amd64 NETINST Binary-1 20150606-14:16]/ jessie main

deb http://http.debian.net/debian jessie main contrib non-free
deb-src http://http.debian.net/debian jessie main contrib non-free

deb http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main contrib non-free

jessie-updates, previously known as ‘volatile’

deb http://http.debian.net/debian jessie-updates main contrib non-free
deb-src http://http.debian.net/debian jessie-updates main contrib non-free

What’s missing?

Any pointers to get this resolved?

Hi daman…
I am sorry for long reply but been very busy lately… well mine one looks like this

# deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 8.3.0 _Jessie_ - Official amd64 NETINST Binary-1 20160123-18:59]/ jessie main

#deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 8.3.0 _Jessie_ - Official amd64 NETINST Binary-1 20160123-18:59]/ jessie main

deb http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ jessie main
deb-src http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ jessie main

deb http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main
deb-src http://security.debian.org/ jessie/updates main

# jessie-updates, previously known as 'volatile'
deb http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ jessie-updates main
deb-src http://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian/ jessie-updates main
deb http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/debian/ virtualmin-jessie main
deb http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/debian/ virtualmin-universal main

…there is some difference here… I do not use nonfree but you can keep it as it is in yours… however bottom two lines should be considered.

Thank you so much unborn, it worked

<Package Description Status Source

Man I was missing a lot LOL

Unpacking usermin (1.690) over (1.670) ... Unpacking webmin (1.810) over (1.801) ... Unpacking webmin-virtual-server (5.04.gpl) over (4.18.gpl) ... Unpacking webmin-virtualmin-dav (3.8) over (3.7) ... Unpacking virtualmin-base (5.0-1) over (1.0-37)

Cheers
Daman

Can you help me with the same thing but different machine running Ubuntu 12.04 (Precise)

I changed the lines to be:

deb http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/ubuntu/ virtualmin-precise main deb http://software.virtualmin.com/gpl/ubuntu/ virtualmin-universal main

But I get an error:

WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!
webmin-virtual-server webmin-virtual-server-theme

Hi daman, im glad you did resolved your issue on debian box! Im sorry but I do not work with ubuntu on servers as I never had chance with single one working properly… perhaps you should read some documentation here on virtualmin.com website or open issue ticket. I think ubuntu works with some ppa or something.

Good luck!

I found the solution , i had to import some gpg keys and that did the trick.
Cheers
