We have gone from a decent bug tracker and forum to crap now

Why can’t you guys just leave things alone ? Aren’t you busy enough with normal bugs you have to create more ?

Now the new site sucks more and I hate it. Can’t add bugs and the VM debian lenny repo is now broke.

E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

This is really starting to piss me off because you guys can’t be consistent with anything.

when Joe has finished migrating to the new server and finished the migration to the new site, I believe this move will be much appreciated.

Wouldn’t had been better to test the site before fudging it all up first ? Then all you have to do is change the IP instead of this mess.

your reply comes before my post, that was a fireboard’s forum bug was it not?
I hope Joe didn’t migrate the bugs as well. lol
There are more oddities at the moment. let’s see how that works out (no avatars).
I’m confident it’ll be worth it.

I have no insight nor experience with such a big move, so I dont know what the best approach is.
I do think your idea has merit though.

edit:
Now my post comes before yours. is that a setting in My Account somewhere…
At least we can edit

How did I know Scott would hate the new site?

The problems are being fixed. The difference between this site and the old one is that I can fix these problems…usually easily.

Oh, and the software.virtualmin.com problem was just a stupidity on my part. Has nothing to do with the new CMS. I mixed up the IPs when changing the DNS. It’s fixed now.

I still hate this new site… sorry

And I prefer the old tracker to the new one. At least on the old tracker I could make bookmarks and save searches which I used extensively.

Oh and where is the “Mark all forums read” link at or is that now gone as well ?

With this one I do agree. “Mark all forums read” was a useful feature.

Agreed. I’m working on the forums a bit today (in fact, I came here looking for something to reply to quickly, so I could test changes to the notifications/messaging settings, which I think will fix the formatting of notification emails from the forums).

The notification email is much better now.
