I am currently facing a persistent issue with my website hosted on a Virtualmin-managed server, and I am looking for advice from experienced users who may have encountered a similar situation. The core problem is that my scheduled Virtualmin backups appear to complete successfully, but when I attempt to restore the website from those backups, some important website files are missing or not restored correctly. The backup process does not show any obvious errors, and the generated backup archives are created successfully, but the restored website does not fully match the original website structure. This has become a serious concern because I rely on Virtualmin backups as a recovery solution, and an incomplete restore could cause unexpected downtime or data loss if I need to recover from a server failure.
The issue mainly occurs when restoring a virtual server that contains my website files, databases, and configuration settings. After initiating a restore operation, Virtualmin completes the process and reports that the restoration was successful.
