By going to Webmin / Servers ⇾ AWStats Reporting and manually remove log file.
What was the domain name that you deleted and which didn’t clear AWStats log file automatically? What matters here is not the exact domain name but if it had any special characters in it.
Hi,
I’ve delete manually and now can i create the new virtual server, but there’s an issue i can’t see the let’s encrypt section under SSL Certificate.
I’ve retried the steps, deleting a virtual server is as if it were not completely deleted, in fact it remains both inside the apache server and awstats.
What errors do you get when deleting the domain? It shouldn’t silently leave behind stuff after a domain deletion…something is going wrong, but I’m having a hard time guessing what.
Can you paste the text from the output of a domain deletion that leaves stuff behind? I guess it stops before it actually finishes deleting for some reason?
That means that AWStats feature was disassociated with that virtual server somehow. A feature can be re-associated with a virtual server using Disable and Delete ⇾ Disassociate Features page.
It’s the first time that i’ve this type of error, and i’ve always created virtual server with that options.
And after deleting by hand from awstat, it tells me that the domain is already managed by apache. I had to delete both by hand, otherwise it won’t let you create the new virtual server.
Maybe it’s some bug with the subdomain on virtualmin ?
It again means that a feature was dis-associated with Virtualmin.
What are we discussing in this topic? The solution for the problem you’re having is to re-associate missing features before deleting a whole domain. Although, we cannot know a reason why some features were disassociated with a domain config at the first place.
We cannot reproduce this problem. Also, no one else reported it.
If you wish, you can write us a private message to @staff group with your server’s login credentials, and we will login to have a closer look. Please reference this ticket, name the exact domain name that is failing and what isn’t working exactly, and what you wish to achieve. Be concise.
