Hi,

I had a ‘scare’ yesterday and it seems that my TCP/IP stack is corrupt, anyhow I managed to back-up virtual servers and keep the gunzipped files on a different disk. I did a full backup.

Here is my query: ‘Does the back-up include the mails in the Maildir mailboxes of the users created under their respective virtual servers ?’ I am on 3.79 GPL.

[ It says that the Server home directory will be backed up, in the Virtualmin Backup console. ] This is a clarification query. A word of appreciation for Virtualmin too: This is a fantastic piece of software!!

Yup, it certainly should! Amongst all the other files and dirs in the users homedir, it should backup the Maildir directory as well.

Of course, I always recommend testing backups, to make sure they’re backing up everything you think they are. Then, there’s no lingering doubts as to whether your backups are good or not :slight_smile:
