<VirtualHost> and <Directory> closing tags repeatedly stripped from conf files during updates

This happens nearly every time the system is updated, and we know how often that is in this world.

What could be causing the conf files for all of my virtual servers to be stripped of the closing and tags upon update and reboot?

Without knowing what OS, version of Virtualmin and Apache you were on and what you updated to - it’s hard to say anything.

Ubuntu 16.04.4 / Server version: Apache/2.4.41 (Ubuntu) / Virtualmin 6.07 / Webmin 1.93 / Usermin 1.78

I’m on the same OS and same Virtualmin version. My Apache is showing as 2.4.18 and in updates it’s offering me version 2.4.18-2ubuntu3.14.

How are you on Apache 2.4.41? Did you manually update to that version?
