I can’t imagine how you could come to that conclusion? That’s what Virtualmin is for. That’s the “virtual” in the name, Virtualmin manages VirtualHosts.
Just create a Virtual Server for each site you want to manage.
Thanks Joe. I would prefer not to create two virtual servers for this purpose. I want one virtual server with two wordpress sites. This is the bit I think is not possible?
In Virtualmin lingo, a virtual server is a domain.
Joe has confirmed that you can install Virtualmin on a vps / server and then host two (or more) WordPress websites on it.
In a nutshell: yes, Virtualmin can do what you have set out to do. One Virtualmin server can host two WordPress websites each on its own domain. Seperate folders, seperate databases. Et al.
“Virtual Server” in Virtualmin means “A user, with a VirtualHost in Apache, with entries in the virtual map in Postfix, a database, and optional mailbox users.”
Just do what I suggested, please.
“Virtual Server” in Virtualmin does not mean “virtual machine” or “virtual private server” or whatever. It is about VirtualHosts in Apache and whatever virtual instances are called in the other services. It’s a historic artifact that they’re called “Virtual Servers”. Virtualmin does not manage virtual machines (we have Cloudmin for that).
