I could not find anything about it in help of Virtualmin and Webmin. How does it work the setup of a different temp directory than the default one in /tmp ?
Do I need to restart Virtualmin or Webmin when I change that setting in any of them ?
Also what is the option to delete files in non standard directory ? does it imply it will automatically clean the directory setup for temp each time it restarts ? as is done with default /tmp directory ?
yeah I know that but do I need to restart Webmin or Virtualmin depending in which one I change the temp directory before I can delete content of the “previous” temp directory ?
and what is the use of the option to delete files in non standard directory ?
If you set a custom temp directory, Webmin will happily wipe everything in it based on the “Maximum age of temporary files” setting. Sounds useful—unless you decide to set it to /etc, and this is where this “Clear temp files in non-standard directory?” option can be used.
