Stricter Email protocols are being required such as DMARC for Microsoft, Yahoo and Google

I never thought this was something that not every email server had. Its a minor setup to not risk to end up as spam folders

To utilize the built-in configuration of SPF/DKIM/DMARC of Virtualmin I’ve had to change the DNS for all my domains away from ENOM and back to my Virtualmin server. IONOS increased my network speed last year, so I’m hoping the clients don’t notice increased delays.

I would say most email servers DO NOT have these.
A lot can’t be bothered to even have a valid rDNS and HELO.
If you start telling them about SPF/DKIM/DMARC or SRS, you are enemy number 1 and you want to destroy them by not accepting email.

A lot will fail if the records are invalid rather than not being present.

I don’t want spam so whatever I can do to stop this makes me happy.

We use as much as possible on all the servers. And we have never had any problem with ending up in spam folders. And every dmarc report is ok. We will implement DANE now to strengthen even more.

The various email handling the technologies in virtualmin needs some improving, but I think it is on them list.

Eg greylisting per user, mail filtering rules I think are broken (need to revisit this)
