Some problems

Hello again

I am now using Virtualmin in a more intense way.

I have some problems that I would like some help. My configuration is the following:

Operating system CentOS Linux 5
Perl version 5.008008
Path to Perl /usr/bin/perl
Postfix version 2.3.3
Mail injection command /usr/lib/sendmail -t
BIND version 9.3.3
Apache version 2.2.3
PHP version 4.4.7, 5.1.6
Webalizer version 2.01-10
Logrotate version 3.7.4
MySQL version 5.0.22
ProFTPd version 1.30
SpamAssasssin version 3.1.9
ClamAV version 0.93

  1. The php directives on apache don’t have any effect. Only after manual editing the php.ini of the site I can manage to change the php configuration default. Is this ok?

  2. I cannot manage to enter the awstats statistics page. When I put http://domain.com/awstats doesn’t work only if I put http://domain.com/awstats/awstats.pl but no images come along. The images direct to a folder (awstatsicons) that doesn’t exist on the site. How can I correct this two situations?

Any help is welcome.

Thanks

1 personally that is the way I do it too.

2 going to a folder like …/awstats then there is expected to be a index.html or index.php cause thats where the browser/apache will be looking for.
Since it is not there you need to append the file at the end of the url (I think you can add that in the php configuration though but I am not an expert, better have a second opinion)

I also see no images going to awstats this way, not sure why that is. I suspect a permission issue as the awstats-icon belong to root

I always thought that awstats was intended to view through the control panel and webalizer through a url like mydomain.com/stats which can be protected by a password
