Until today, all updates worked fine. Anything wrong in the current release or am I doing something wrong?
@Ilia This problem is fixed or still? After updating Cloud-Init to version 24, my server fails to boot and gets stuck at the network stage in Virtualmin. It doesn’t proceed beyond this point, making the system unusable.
After troubleshooting, I found that downgrading Cloud-Init back to version 23 solved the issue, and the server booted normally again.
Has anyone else experienced this issue with Cloud-Init v24? If so, is there a proper fix, or is downgrading the only solution for now?
Any help or insights would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
cloud-init is not our package and is not in our control. There was a known bug in cloud-init for a while that would break networking. There are several discussions about it here (even though it’s not our package and not one we have any control over), and also in various Ubuntu forums and such.
