right now software.virtualmin.com comes back to 51.158.66.131
Is that correct? If so, I am not getting a response

I have done more testing, and noticed my Redhat repo had just HTTP
when I manually test with HTTPS, I do get connected.
is the retirement of http connections recent? Is it something that can be restored, either natively/directly or with a redirect?
in the meantime I will use SED or VIM and update /etc/yum.repos.d/virtualmin.repo
on my 15 servers
software.virtualmin.com wasn’t down, virtualmin.com was (and software.virtualmin.com needs virtualmin.com for authentication for some repos). I haven’t figure out why, yet, but it’s back.
I couldn’t log in. I’m one of those ‘ID10T’'s that doesn’t have my browser store that stuff.
any thoughts on why https did work while http was broken — and I see now that http is working again.
You probably looked at one of the repos that wasn’t broken (because it didn’t require auth) when going https and your http attempt was to an authenticated repo.
