Setting up two sets of DNS on one server problem

Hi,

A couple aof days ago I was asking about setting up more than one set of DNS pairs on my server.

EG

ns1.Host-One.com --> 65.34.124.65
ns2.Host-One.com --> 65.34.124.68

and

ns1.Host-Two.com --> 65.34.124.65
ns2.Host-Two.com --> 65.34.124.68

Now that I’ve just learnt about Reverse DNS I can see that this could cause a problem.

Since the Reverse DNS of 65.34.124.65 and 65.34.124.68 will have TWO different domain names to route back to !

Does this mean that the Host-one.com and Host-two.com must really have different IP addresses for their DNS servers ?

Thanks
for your input.

David.

Yup, the two different nameserver "names" should have two different IP addresses.

That’s not to say you can’t put them on the same server, but that server would need two different IP addresses.

in addition, for the reverse dns, take the IP that is used on the mailserver, usually the IP you have the shared hosting on if you have 1 box.
