Set up scheduled backups from command line?

Operating system:
Debian
OS version:
10

Hello,

I need to be able to set up scheduled backups from command line. Does anyone have an idea how I could do that?
I see there is a virtualmin command to run a backup, but I need to set up a scheduled backup for all domains.

Regards

Go to the Webmin tab and do it there.

Webmin/Webmin/Backup Configuration Files

There you can configure when and what to back up including all Virtualmin virtual servers.

@Lucian,

I’ve poked @Joe about the missing functionality, perhaps it’ll get added in an upcoming version.

In the meantime, you could technically create a “cron job” that executes the regular “backup-domain” command which at least would give you a temporary workaround if you need to do this via the CLI.

What’s missing? It’s all right there in the Webmin tab. Why would you copy and paste the same exact functionality from one tab to the other?

Seems like a colossal waste of time. What am I missing?

I need to be able to do it without the UI, cli only. An API call would be nice.

My misunderstanding. When you mentioned you tried the GUI I assumed you would be able to use it.
