Good morning,
I started playing with Virtualmin today and really find it to be a useful tool. I installed Webmin from the .deb package and then Virtualmin from the install.sh on a fresh minimal install of Debian 5.
There are some features of Virtualmin that I will not use, like postfix, as I don’t offer mail from my server. I disabled Mail in the Virtualmin features section and set the associated processes not to start at boot in Webmin.
When I tried to remove Postfix from apt-get it looked like it was going to remove part of Virtualmin. Is there a “right” way to uninstall unnecessary packages?
Related: I notice that all of the packages installed by Virtualmin are listed as automatically installed or no longer needed by apt-get, is there a way to correct this?
Thanks in advance,
Everett
