redirect traffic to another IP - based on domain

hi folks,

i have installed virtualmin after many years and i am really impressed with the results.

congratulations.

i am only using for three domains.

my question is around SSL, IP assigment,and FTP.

to be able to use SSL in all domain i have allocated a different IP number for each (internal network IP) since SSL can not be shared on the same IP.

this is good as well since it allows for FTP based on IP.

but the problem is in the fact that my server is in a DMZ of my router:
as my router redirects ALL traffic for ports 80 and 443 to a single IP. i find that only the default Apache pages are displayed.

is there some way intercepting the traffic, redirect it to the appropriated IP for each domain?

i am using ubuntu 8.04 LTS 32bit, and used the webmin deb repository to install webmin and virtualmin from link on webmin.com

SSL traffic has no identifying information, except the IP address. If you don’t have multiple public IP addresses you cannot do anything useful with multiple internal IP addresses. It’s nonsensical to try. :wink:

You can probably use UCC, which allows multiple certificates on a single IP. Many older and embedded browsers (like in phones) don’t work with this type of certificate, but all the major recent browsers do. Virtualmin added support for this type of cert a couple of revisions back.
