Readonly system but for logs and

I have a webmin install on a raspberry Pi4.
A nifty little machine I plan to run webmin with nginx + 3rd party module.
It is to work as a reverse proxy for other Pi’s in the farm.
Now raspberries are not know to handle power disruptions very cool when it comes to the micro SD card.
An option to avoid this is to make the whole of the filesystem readonly.
Though then I will miss out on the logging and such. There maybe a lot in webmin besides the logs that rely on being write enabled.

I was thinking of having a separate USB mounted for all “dynamic” stuff. But I am not to sure what all dynamic stuff is. Any thoughts? Has anyone experience with this?

Tx,
