Problems receiving mails

Hi,

I’m new to Debian and I’ve got some problems concerning postfix and procmail.

Every time I try to receive an email, it doesn’t show up in my inbox. I still can send mail, so this works, so I had a look at my mail.log file and there was:

Mar 15 22:45:28 Debian-60-squeeze-64-minimal postfix/local[21535]: C22E5EC1415:to=, orig_to=, relay=local, delay=2.8, delays=0.19/0/0/2.6, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (delivered to command: /usr/bin/procmail-wrapper -o -a $DOMAIN -d $LOGNAME)

After this line there was only this:

Mar 15 22:45:28 Debian-60-squeeze-64-minimal postfix/qmgr[15602]: C22E5EC1415: removed

And I don’t get the mail in my inbox. In my opinion there must be a problem with the procmail-wrapper but I don’t have any procmail.log file in my log directory and I don’t know why.

Can anybody help me? I’m new to all this and don’t know what to do.

Just found my procmail.log file and there was something like:

procmail: Couldn’t create or rename temp file “/home/xy/Maildir/tmp/1331p/1331856674.29631_0.xy.biz”
From xy@yahoo.de Fri Mar 16 01:11:12 2012
Subject: Test
Folder: Bounced 2297

But I have no idea what I should do now.

Howdy,

Hmm… could you perhaps be dealing with a permissions issue of some sort?

Take a peek at the directory permissions, is it owned by the user and group “xy”?

ls -l /home/xy/Maildir/ ls -l /home/xy/Maildir/tmp

Thanks, you saved my life. Totally forgot to check the chmod inside the Maildir. It was set to the wrong owner and group for all my mails (Don’t ask me why. :D).

But thanks man!
