I’m confused how you got there.
How did Webmin get a certificate for that name?

Hello,
Why you would want to use HTTPS (443) reserved port for Virtualmin? That does not make sense since it is reserved by web server (Apache/Nginx).
Speaking about adding ports at the end of the domain, our Nginx redirects a visitor to the domain without it. Including 443 port. No certificate errors are seen from the browser’s side.
My suggestion would be to configure your Apache’s setup better and especially to not use well known ports for any active/running service.

Yours sincerely,

The virtualmin we server is running an instance of miniserv, it is not Apache or nginx and is completely separate so needs it’s own port, same for usermin on 20000
Why are you necroposting ? I guess discourse has some issue reopening old posts
if you look, i did not. before giving people some stick please check.
Also just reported the previous poster as they might be a spambot.
6 months later that sounds like the thread should have been closed by the forum software however the previous poster managed to reopen the thread. All I was saying was there is no point necroposting and in fact reporting it makes more sense
