Primary nameserver cannot be resolved

This is the error i get when i’m running the Post-Installation Wizard:

Primary nameserver cannot be resolved from the rest of the Internet : Host example.com not found: 2(SERVFAIL)

Howdy,

Whenever you enter the nameservers on the Post-install wizard, it’ll do a check to make sure they’re accessible.

However, there’s frequent cases where they aren’t (such as if they aren’t setup yet) – and in that case, there’s a checkbox on that same screen that tells Virtualmin not to try to resolve them.

So, just check the box that says not to attempt resolving the nameservers, and you should be fine :slight_smile:

Hmmm, my nameservers have been propogated to point to the public WAN IP, but Virtualmin still shows this error in the Post-Installation Wizard? Primary nameserver cannot be resolved from the rest of the Internet : Host ns1.domain.com not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
