Postfix warning

Hi,

I’m running Virtualmin GPL 3.54, works great! There is however a warning in mail.log that keeps coming back over and over again:

postfix/trivial-rewrite[28732]: warning: do not list domain mydomain.com in BOTH mydestination and virtual_alias_domains

Is this intended or should I do something about it? Everything seems to work the way they should.

Thanks,
Chris

It merely means that your system is named “mydomain.com” AND you have a virtual host configuration for it in /etc/postfix/virtual. The easiest solution is to change the name of the system to something else…like primary.mydomain.com, or similar. Another option is to set mydestination to not include the system hostname (I think…there is a tricky issue when doing this though…make sure you don’t start bouncing mail if going this route…I don’t remember the exact details of what can go wrong and why).

Ok, I’ll probably live with it then. Everything works just the way it should, so I see no good reason for tweaking with it.

Thanks.

Chris
