Postfix sendmail not working at all.

Hi, I’ve never worked with Postfix before, so bare with me.

Mail sending does not work, I have not checked if receiving mail works, but my main concern is getting PHP mail working.

You can see near the end I try to start Sendmail mail server, which does not work either.

I have no idea why any of this is not working, this is all in /var/log/maillog

if you guys have anything else I should get to shine some more light on it, let me know. the config on virtualmin is pretty much all defaults, because I’ve never dealt with it before, even though it used to work on another system I used

Actually, I just got an email I sent from the console (mail -v seanieb64@gmail.com) from my lower user account, and it actually worked. Now all I need to make work is PHP mail.

Howdy,

So what happens if you setup your PHP app to send an email to the same address that seemed to work correctly when you used the command line – “seanieb64@gmail.com”?

Perhaps we should start with an address we know works, and then work from there to determine whether we’re solving a PHP issue or a email delivery issue

What happens when I try to get PHP to send email is that huge block of text up there, it just bounces around and fails. A ton more output than sending one message from the console.
