It seems these remediations need to be done manually.
Is there anything I need to do except update the os packages?
According to the /. article you need to do the manual interventions listed.

I was not convinced
It is not possible to completely eliminate the risk introduced by unprivileged user namespaces without disabling/restricting the feature.
So my take was that it only applied to use of user namespaces (though as a warning I think it is too verbose)
