I just noticed that the PHP version is not shown in the Software Versions section of the Webmin System Information page after I used the automated install with – LEMP (Nginx) option. I thought maybe it wasn’t installed. But it looks like it is installed on the server. So probably should be there right? The Virtualmin with Apache did show the PHP version.
I think because multiple versions of PHP can be installed might be the reason.
stefan1959 is correct. There is not a single PHP version, every domain might be using a different one. There is the OS default version (which I think most folks should try to stick with when possible), but I think most folks tend to have a couple versions to deal with cranky older or newer software.
I mainly use 7.4 and 8.2 as of now in both Alma/rocky and debian and it works great. Both are on LEMP stack. However it not show as a separate service like you see in LAMP install.
It is a separate service, the same as in Apache, I guess it just hasn’t been surfaced in the UI for nginx systems, yet. LEMP gets less attention.
