That seems to be a packaging or repository issue. We don’t provide the php packages, so we’re not really able to fix that. It’s not clear what repos you’re using or what OS/version is in use here, so I can’t even really google things to see if I can give more guidance on how to fix it.

thanks for pointing this relative newb to linux in the right direction! it was indeed a repository issue.
