php error logging stopped working after upgrading to php 7 (mod_fcgid)

For some unknown reason, php errror are no longer showing up in the error log after I upgraded to php7 via software collections. Any tips what could be the issue? I compared the Virtualmin error logging settings for php and they are the same for another domain that uses php 5.6

Howdy,

I suddenly got an idea after thinking about another of your posts… could you take a look in /var/log/httpd/error_log, and see if the domain’s errors are showing up in there?

I can see the php errors in /var/log/messages including other domains, but not in /var/log/httpd/error_log
PS All of the other domains stopped recording error messages in virtualmin domain errorlogs.
