Sometimes it is best to just make things work. Can you easily migrate to another server as a test?
I found that the main Virtualmin config file had been rewritten between 3 and 4 weeks ago. Lots of system info was not in the new one. I restored a backup from 1 month ago and Apache SSL Website option is back. I was able to make a connection to a new account on a problem domain via Outlook. I now need to find out if my clients are having any issues.
It does seem that we need a more robust config setup. I’ve had this randomly happen on several systems. So far as I know, this is the only one where it has happened lately. Perhaps within the last year?
It was a known bug; we really believe that this issue must be fixed now, starting Virtualmin 7.10.0
I would still love to know how Outlook was finding the old cert dates. Is that stored on the server or externally through LetsEncrypt?
I know there were updates to Webmin and Usermin lately. When did 7.10.0 come out? Within the last 3 or 4 weeks?
Thanks! My backup from March 1st was good. My backup from March 22 was bad. It is very likely that I did not have the new Virtualmin installed at that point. I do hope the patch is good! I don’t have backups between those dates.
