so the worpress is already installed, can you update ok from the wp admin?
Also Re-check Configuration, it may fix. You using fpm?

getting a db con error after logging in. will fix that and get back to u asap

Fixed DB connection problem (and some additional problems with the install).
Was able to update from WP Admin.

So, it is fixed on one machine (RL). One more to go.
