Honestly, I have no idea. Iâve never seen this behavior and nobodyâs reported it, as far as I recall.
I think Iâd need to login and look to sort out whatâs going on. If you want to make a PM to @staff (or just me, doesnât matter, really) about this, I can have a look. I probably donât need root (since youâve ruled out SELinux as a possible cause), you can just make a domain account that has this problem on one of its subservers and let me see that.
After having a look at this, the problem was determined to be with NFS, which has a secondary group limit of 16. There are workarounds, assuming you can also manage the NFS server, so that groups can be synced and an additional config option can be set.
