Step1 create a A record in your namesever for mail
so add a A record, name it mail and point it to 90.196.186.235
yes ihave just done that for virtualmin and namecheap too
nope, mxtools says there NO IP
i just done it now there
screenshot namecheap record, you entered it incorrect or something, untill mxtools show a IP then it won’t work
ok how do i connect to the server
Do Not run DNS on the virtual server. Namecheap is your dns server.
DNS is not the issue, sort out your connection issue.

hard for me to know, I run my server on Vultr VPS.
You need to sort you routing issue to the server.
