Multiple SSL domains on 1 IP address using SNI or similar.

I could not find any documentation or guide on how to use SNI (Server Name Indication TLS extension ) or similar, so that I can use Multiple SSL domains on 1 IP address. (On the old archived forum there are some old nodes about peoples difficulties in doing this, but no actual guide).
Any links, info, suggestions, etc are helpful

You don’t need a guide. It’s automatic. Just create domains, give them certs. They’ll work.

exactly as @Joe said. it couldn’t be simpler

hmm… interesting. I have 2 servers, and easily was able to create SSL on a domain for each. And additional SSL for their SUB-domains. BUT creating a SSL on a 2nd domain (full domain not sub) always failed. Moreover, the webmin interface itself says that you cannot have 2 domains use ssl with a shared IP address. All googling docs and forums also said you can’t do this, unless you setup SNI.

Where did you see that specifically? It’s outdated, and I’d like to update it.

It is absolutely possible and automatically handled in Virtualmin. Something else is going wrong, but we can’t tell what based on information you’ve given us.

Ok, thanks for the response. I’ll have my admin expert see if he can fix the issue I’m having. I’ll post back here if we have more questions on this. I guess all the google info is outdated. Thanks.

@OakLeaf that ^^^^ is a myth. You can have all domains, subdomains on one shared ip and they all of them can have ssl enabled and applied, If you need help how to set it up, I will make some short gif for you :+1:

@unborn

I would be interested in that!
