Multiple PHP Versions Ubuntu 16.04

I have a couple of Ubuntu 16.04 LTS servers running PHP 7. However I need to add transfer a virtual server that still required PHP 5.x.

As a result I need to install PHP 5.x alongside the existing PHP7 installation on the server. I found this document which includes instructions for Ubuntu 14.04 and would like to know if this still applies to Ubuntu 16.04 ???

Has anyone here tried this or know whether it is still applicable?

PS: you can choose directly in Virtualmin per Vhost which PHP version you need to run.
